Working with Enterprise servers
You use the Servers page to manage the various Enterprise servers on which Asta Powerproject projects are located.
To access the Servers page, click Servers in the sidebar.
The Servers page displays a 'card' for each Enterprise server. If an Enterprise server is currently running, its card is red; if an Enterprise server is currently stopped, its card is grey. If you are a Server Admin user - as opposed to an Admin or Company Admin user - only those servers to which you are assigned are visible.

To create an Enterprise server, click Create New.

To view an Enterprise server's properties and edit its options, click the Actions dropdown underneath the Enterprise server whose details you want to view, then click Details.

You should leave Enterprise servers running all the time as much as possible, so that they are always available. However, if you want to carry out certain actions, for example add, edit or delete a user-defined field, user-defined enumerator or user-defined table, you must first stop the Enterprise server. If you carry out some other actions, for example changing an Enterprise server's trace level, the server's card on the Servers page informs you that the server needs to be stopped and restarted.
To stop an Enterprise server, click Stop underneath the Enterprise server that you want to stop. Its card turns from red to grey to indicate that it is stopped.
Once you have finished maintaining the user-defined fields, enumerators or tables, you should restart the Enterprise server.
To start an Enterprise server, click Start underneath the Enterprise server that you want to start. Its card turns from grey to red to indicate that it is running.

To view details of an Enterprise server's data sources, click Datasources underneath the Enterprise server whose data sources you want to view.

To view an Enterprise server's event log, click Event Logs underneath the Enterprise server whose event log you want to view.

To update an Enterprise server to a later version (or to downgrade it to an earlier version), click the Actions dropdown underneath the Enterprise server, then click Update.

To delete an Enterprise server, click the Actions dropdown underneath the Enterprise server you want to repair, then click Delete.

If you have upgraded an Enterprise server to a later version, 'Convert Required' appears on the server's card and a Convert link appears beneath the server. Click Convert to convert the server's data sources to the same version.
