Requesting a new licence for a licence server

You use the Request tab of the Asta Licence Manager to generate a licence request key, which is required by Elecosoft's Technical Support department before they can issue you with a new licence.

To generate a licence request key:

Enter the name of the computer on which the licence server for which you want to request a licence is installed in the Server name field. Alternatively, click Browse to search the network for a licence server.
Select the product for which you want to request a licence in the Product field.
Select the Read only client check box if you want to request a licence for a read-only version of Asta Powerproject, or select the Educational client check box if you want to request a licence for an educational version. Leave both check boxes clear to request a standard licence.
Click Generate.

The Asta Licence Manager generates a licence request key, which is displayed in the Licence request key field. You must transfer the licence request key to Elecosoft's Technical Support department.
Click Copy to copy the licence request key to the Windows Clipboard.
Paste the licence request key into an email, entitled NEW LICENCE REQUEST, and send it to support@elecosoft.com. If you do not have access to email, paste the licence request key into a TXT file and send it to Elecosoft's Technical Support department on a floppy disk.

Once you have transferred the licence request key to Elecosoft, the Technical Support department will send you a licence code, which you can use to add the new licence you have requested to the specified licence server.
