Viewing and editing project team details
You use the Edit Project Team dialog to edit the project teams that you use to organise your users into logical groups. You can also use this dialog to delete project teams.
To access the Edit Project Team dialog:
- Click Project Teams in the left pane. The Project Teams page appears.
- Click a project team in the list.
Editing project team details
To edit the details of a project team:
- On the Edit Project Team dialog, enter a descriptive name for the project team in the Team Name field.
- Select colours to apply to the project team in the Task Colour and Task Text Colour fields. These colours are applied to all tasks that are dragged into the project team's swimlane in the whiteboard.
If you select a very light colour in the Task Text Colour field, you may find it difficult to read information about the project team's baseline tasks when you display baseline information in the whiteboard. If you find it difficult to read information about a project team's baseline tasks, select a darker colour in the Task Text Colour field. - To create a swimlane for this project team automatically in the whiteboard of each pull plan that you create, click the Pull Plan Default toggle. If you turn this toggle off, a swimlane is not created automatically for this project team in each pull plan's whiteboard, but you can add one manually if you wish.
- To assign users to the project team, click Members, then click the dropdown and select the users that should be assigned to the team. You can select any number of users.
Any users that you select are added to the list of assigned users beneath the Members field. Click to the right of a user to unassign it. - Click the Project Tags dropdown and select any project tags that are applicable. You can select any number of project tags.
Any tags that you select are added to the list of assigned tags beneath the Project Tags field. Click to the right of a project tag to unassign it. - Click Save. Your changes are saved and you are returned to the Project Teams page.
Deleting project teams
Before you delete a project team, you must make sure that you no longer need to use the project team to organise your users: you cannot delete a project team if it is being used as a swimlane in the whiteboard of one or more pull plans.
To delete a project team:
- Click Delete. A popup appears, asking if you are sure that you want to delete the project team.
- Click Yes to delete the project team.
If you want to delete more than one project team, it is quicker to delete them using the check boxes on the Project Teams page.
