Exporting Asta Powerproject projects to Procore

You use the Powerproject Integration with Procore dialog to export data from Asta Powerproject projects to Procore.

To export data from an Asta Powerproject project to a Procure project:

  1. Launch Asta Powerproject and open a project from which you want to export data to Procore.
  2. On the Add-Ins tab of the Ribbon, click Upload to Procore. The Powerproject Integration with Procore dialog appears.
  3. The Procore Project field displays a list of available projects in Procore to which you can export Asta Powerproject data. Each project is identified by its alphanumeric project number and project name. Select the project to which you want to export data.

If you have exported data from this Asta Powerproject project to Procore already, the Procore project to which you exported data last time is selected automatically in the list.
  4. If you have configured Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore to allow the export of subprojects, a Powerproject Subproject field appears. This field displays a list of all charts and summary groups in the Asta Powerproject project that have been flagged 'Is a Project'. Select the subproject you want to export to the Procore project.

If a subproject has been exported to the Procore project previously, its name is prefixed with the project number of the Procore project to which it was exported; if a subproject has not yet been exported to the Procore project, its name is prefixed with '00000'.

If you have not configured Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore to allow the export of subprojects, the Powerproject Subproject field does not appear.
  5. Click Send. Data from the Asta Powerproject project - or from the subproject, if you have selected one - is exported to the selected Procore project.

The dialog displays information on the export process. An 'Update complete' message is displayed when the export process has finished.

The export process will report an error if you try to export data from an Asta Powerproject project or subproject to a different Procore project than the one that was used previously. The export process will also report an error if you select a subproject that overlaps a containing project.

It is possible to export data from multiple Asta Powerproject projects or subprojects into the same Procore project. You may want to do this to combine data from more than one project or subproject in a single Procore project.

Viewing the exported data in Procore

To view the exported Asta Powerproject data in the Procore project, log into Procore, access the project to which the data was exported and display the schedule Gantt chart view.

If Procore reports an error when you attempt to view the Asta Powerproject data, or if any activities appear to be missing from the data, wait for a minute or two before refreshing the page: it can take a while for Procore to process the Asta Powerproject data after the export.
