Installing Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore
To install Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore®, you must:
- Be using Asta Powerproject version 14.0.02 or later.
- Have sufficient access rights on your computer to install applications. If you do not have sufficient access rights, contact your IT department for advice and assistance.
To install Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore:
- Download the Installer for Powerproject Integration with Procore addon.exe file to a folder on your computer.
- Close Asta Powerproject, if it is currently running.
- Within Windows® Explorer, locate the Installer for Powerproject Integration with Procore addon.exe file that you downloaded, and double-click it.
- The User Account Control message box may appear, asking whether you want to allow the program to make changes to your computer. If it does appear, click Yes.
- The Asta Powerproject splash screen appears briefly as Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore is installed, then it disappears.
Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore and all related files are copied to a 'Procore' folder, in your 'Add-in path' folder. You can see where this folder is by viewing the File Locations tab of the Options dialog in Asta Powerproject.
An Upload to Procore control is added to the Add-Ins tab of the Asta Powerproject Ribbon:
You use this control to launch Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore.
If you encounter problems when attempting to install Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore, or if you do not have sufficient access rights to run the installation file as described above, you can install Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore manually, as described below.

Before installing Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore manually, you must make a note of your 'Add-in path' folder. To do this:
- Launch Asta Powerproject.
- Click File, then click Options. The Options dialog appears.
- Click the File Locations tab.
- Make a note of the folder that is specified against 'Add-in path'.
- Close the Options dialog, then close Asta Powerproject.
You can now install Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore manually. To do this:
- Within Windows Explorer, locate the Installer for Powerproject Integration with Procore addon.exe file that you downloaded.
- Rename the Installer for Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore addon.exe file to Installer for Powerproject Integration with Procore addon.zip.
You must ensure that you change the file extension from '.exe' to '.zip', not just change the file name. - Double-click the renamed file to open it.
- Extract the contents of the file to a temporary folder on your computer.
- Within Windows Explorer, navigate to the temporary folder into which you extracted the files. You will see a 'Files' subfolder. Double-click this folder to view the files within it.
- Copy the files within the 'Files' subfolder.
- Navigate to the 'Add-in path' folder that you noted earlier.
- Paste the copied files into this folder.

If you encounter a script error when attempting to install Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore, try the following:
- Check that the installation file has been downloaded to a folder on your computer - not to a folder on a network drive.
- Rather than double-clicking the installation file, try right-clicking it and selecting Run as administrator.
- If you are working on a remote desktop, ensure that no one else has a copy of Asta Powerproject open.
If you have problems upgrading an existing installation of Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore, try manually deleting the old files from the 'Add-on path' folder and try again.

Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore should not require any firewall modification, but if an issue does arise when using the add-on, it listens for authorisation responses on port 35719.
