Setting up Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore
Before you use Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore® to export data for the first time, you must carry out the following steps:

If you use Asta Powerproject Enterprise, you need to set up the following user-defined fields (UDFs) in Server Admin before you use Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore:
UDF name | UDF object type | UDF data type |
---|---|---|
ProcoreProjectNumber | Expanded Task | String |
ProcoreCompanyID | Expanded Task | Integer |
ProcoreProjectID | Expanded Task | Integer |
For details of how to do this:
- If you are using a web-based Server Admin, refer to the 'Working with user-defined fields' topic in the Server Admin Help.
- If you are using a Windows®-based Server Admin, refer to the 'Adding a user-defined field' topic in the Server Admin Help.
If you do not use Asta Powerproject Enterprise, you do not need to set up these user-defined fields; Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore will create the fields in your projects automatically.

You must ensure that one baseline in each of the Asta Powerproject projects from which you want to export data is set to be the 'Current' baseline. This enables Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore to export baseline dates and to detect any deletions that need to be exported to Procore.
For details of how to do this, refer to the 'Specifying which baseline is the "current" baseline" topic in the Asta Powerproject Help.

To configure Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore's settings:
- Launch Asta Powerproject and open a project from which you want to export data to Procore.
- On the Add-Ins tab of the Ribbon, click Upload to Procore.
- If this is the first time you have launched Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore, the Export Settings dialog appears. If the dialog does not appear, click
on the Powerproject Integration with Procore dialog.
- In the Your company's Procore URL field, enter the URL that you use to access your company's Procore server.
- If you use Asta Powerproject Enterprise, or if you work with projects in which expanded or summary tasks are flagged as 'Is a Project', select the Allow subproject export check box if you want the option to export specific parts of a programme, rather than the whole programme. If you do not use Asta Powerproject Enterprise, and you do not flag expanded or summary tasks as 'Is a Project', leave this check box cleared to simplify things.
If you select this check box, a Powerproject Subproject field appears on the Powerproject Integration with Procore dialog. - If you have access to more than one company or division in Procore, select the Show all companies check box. This gives you the option to export data to projects in Procore from more than one company. If you do not have access to more than one company or division in Procore, leave this check box cleared.
- Click Apply.
If you need to configure Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore's settings at any other time, you can access the Export Settings dialog by clicking on the Powerproject Integration with Procore dialog.

Once you have configured Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore's settings for the first time, Procore log in a web page appears. Enter your Procore user name and password then click Log In to log into your Procore account.
Once you have logged in, you may be asked to authorise the application. If you are asked to do this, click Yes.
A message appears, asking you to close the window and return to Asta Powerproject. If you do not close the window, the web page will eventually time out and report a 'page not found' error. This does not affect the performance of Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore.
You need only log into your Procore account once, unless you specifically log out of Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore, by clicking the Log out button on the Export Settings dialog - in which case you need to log into your Procore account the next time you access Asta Powerproject Integration with Procore.
