Configuring project grid filters

You use the Choose Project Grid Filters page to specify which project-level user-defined fields should be available as filters on the Projects and Portfolio Overview pages.

To access the Choose Project Grid Filters page from the Asta Vision Home page, click Admin then click Project Grid Filters.

You can make up to five enumeration-type or user-type, project-level, user-defined fields available as project grid filters on the Projects and Portfolio Overview pages, and use them to filter the projects that are displayed on those pages. For example:

  • If you use a project-level, enumeration-type, field called 'Region' as a project grid filter, you can use this to display only those projects that take place in a particular region.
  • If you use a project-level, user-type, field called 'Lead Planner' as a project grid filter, you can use this to display only those projects that have a particular Lead Planner.

Each row on this page corresponds to a project grid filter that will appear on the Projects and Portfolio Overview pages. The filters appear in the order in which they are selected on this page.

To specify which project-level user-defined fields should be displayed as filters on the Projects and Portfolio Overview pages:

  1. In each row on the Choose Project Grid Filters page, select the project-level user-defined field to use as a project grid filter. You can select any enumeration-type or user-type, project-level, field.
  2. Click Save to save your settings and return to the Admin page.
