Viewing and editing build location details
You use the Edit Build Location dialog to view and edit details of build locations. You can also use this dialog to delete build locations.
To access the Edit Build Location dialog, click Build Locations in the left pane, then click a build location in the list.
To edit the details of a build location:
- On the Edit Build Location dialog, enter a descriptive name for the build location in the Title field.
- Select the location group to which the build location belongs in the Location Group field. If you do not use location groups to categorise build locations, select 'default' in this field.
If a build location group is restricted for use with a particular project, the name of the project appears after the location group name in this field.
To create a new location group for the build location, click New Build Location Group; to edit the details of the selected location group, click Edit Build Location Group. - Click Save to save any changes you have made to the build location details. Your changes are saved and you are returned to the Build Locations page.
Before you delete a build location, you must make sure that you no longer need to use the build location to categorise tasks: you cannot delete a build location if it has been assigned to a task or if it is being used as a swimlane in the whiteboard of one or more pull plans.
To delete a build location:
- On the Edit Build Location dialog, click Delete. A popup appears, asking if you are sure that you want to delete the build location.
- Click Yes to delete the build location.
If you want to delete more than one build location, it is quicker to delete them using the check boxes on the Build Locations page.
