Updating individual tasks

The Task Progress screen displays details of the task you tapped on the Project screen. The exact information that appears on this screen depends on the way in which Site Progress Mobile is configured, but it will always display key dates. Enter information into the fields as required.

The colour-coded icon to the left of the task name indicates whether the task is due A green exclamation mark in a green outlined circle, overdue A red cross in a red outlined circle, or not yet due A blue tick in a blue outlined circle.

Recording task progress

Depending on the way in which Site Progress Mobile is configured, you may be able to record progress on a task by recording:

  • The percentage of the task that has been completed.
  • The actual duration of the task that has been completed.
  • The quantity of task work that has been completed.
  • The remaining duration that is required for the task to be completed.
  • The actual start and actual finish dates of the task. Note that if you record an actual start date against a task that previously had no progress, 5% progress is recorded automatically against the task, as it is impossible to have a task that has started without the task having some progress. You can then amend the progress percentage to a more accurate amount.

Milestones are either complete or incomplete, so instead of a progress slider, milestones have a Complete check box that you can select or clear. You cannot specify the actual or remaining duration of milestones.

When recording progress, you cannot reduce the amount of progress to an amount lower than that which applied at the start of the current working period.

You may also be able to specify forecast start dates for tasks that have yet to begin.
