Attaching photographs to illustrate progress

You use the Photos screen to review any photographs that have been recorded against the selected task or build stage and to take new photographs. Tap a photograph to view it in detail.

If you use Asta Siteprogress Mobile to collect field evidence, the photographs that you take using the Photos screen to illustrate progress cannot be used as field evidence, as they do not include data relating to where and when the photographs were taken. You take photographs for use as field evidence using the Evidence Item screen.

Attaching a new photograph

To attach a new photograph to a task:

  1. On the Project screen, tap the task to which you want to attach a photograph. The Task Progress screen appears.
  2. Tap . The Photos screen appears. Once one or more photographs have been attached to a task or build stage, this icon appears as a camera with a tick.

    If Asta Siteprogress Mobile is not currently permitted to take pictures and record video, you are prompted to allow the app to do this before the Photos screen appears.
  3. Tap one landscape photo stacked above another to access the photographs, files and other media on your mobile device, from which you can select a photograph to attach, or tap to take a new photograph using your mobile device's camera. This control is unavailable if your device does not have a camera.
  4. Once you have attached a photograph, tap it on the Photos screen to view it in detail and to record notes about it using the Photo Details screen. Tap a photo on the Photo Details screen if you want to edit it.

To attach a new photograph to a build stage:

  1. On the Ticksheet Tasks screen, if you are using a mobile phone, tap ellipsis to the right of the build stage to which you want to attach a photograph; if you are using a tablet or a PC, tap the build stage's progress wheel. The Task Progress screen appears.
  2. Tap . The Photos screen appears. Once one or more photographs have been attached to a task or build stage, this icon appears as a camera with a tick.
  3. Tap one landscape photo stacked above another to access the photographs, files and other media on your mobile device, from which you can select a photograph to attach, or tap to take a new photograph using your mobile device's camera. This control is unavailable if your device does not have a camera.
  4. Once you have attached a photograph, tap it on the Photos screen to view it in detail and to record notes about it using the Photo Details screen. Tap a photo on the Photo Details screen if you want to edit it.

Detaching a photograph from a task or build stage

To detach a photograph from a task or build stage:

  1. Drag the photograph on the Photos screen to the left. A dustbin appears:

  2. Tap the dustbin. The photograph is detached from the task or build stage, but is not deleted from your mobile device.
