Attaching photographs to illustrate progress

You use the Photos screen to review any photographs that have been recorded against the selected task or build stage and to take new photographs. Tap a photograph to view it in detail, to enter notes against it or to edit it.

If you use Asta Siteprogress to collect field evidence, the photographs that you take using the Photos screen to illustrate progress cannot be used as field evidence, as they do not include data relating to where and when the photographs were taken. You take photographs for use as field evidence using the Evidence Item screen.

Attaching a new photograph

To attach a new photograph to a task:

  1. On the Project screen, tap the task to which you want to attach a photograph. The Task Progress screen appears.
  2. Tap the Photos tab. The Photos screen appears.

    If Asta Siteprogress is not currently permitted to take pictures and record video, you are prompted to allow the app to do this before the Photos tab appears.
  3. Tap one landscape photo stacked above another, within an orange circle to access the photographs, files and other media on your mobile device, from which you can select a photograph to attach, or tap a camera icon, within an orange circle to take a new photograph using your mobile device's camera. This control is unavailable if your device does not have a camera.
  4. Either select an existing photograph, or take a new photograph. Once you have done this, the photograph appears on the Photo Details screen, where you can record notes about the photograph; tap the photograph on the Photo Details screen to edit it.
  5. Tap a left-pointing arrow to save the photograph and return to the Photos tab, where the new photograph appears.

To attach a new photograph to a build stage:

  1. On the Ticksheet Tasks screen, if you are using a mobile phone, tap right-pointing arrow to the right of the build stage to which you want to attach a photograph; if you are using a tablet or a PC, tap the build stage's progress wheel. The Task Progress screen appears.
  2. Tap the Photos tab. The Photos screen appears.
  3. Tap one landscape photo stacked above another, within an orange circle to access the photographs, files and other media on your mobile device, from which you can select a photograph to attach, or tap a camera icon, within an orange circle to take a new photograph using your mobile device's camera. This control is unavailable if your device does not have a camera.
  4. Tap a left-pointing arrow to save the photograph and return to the Photos tab, where the new photograph appears.
  5. Tap a left-pointing arrow to return to the Ticksheet Tasks screen.

Detaching a photograph from a task or build stage

To detach a photograph from a task or build stage:

  1. On the Photos tab, drag the photograph to the left. A dustbin appears.
  2. Tap the dustbin. The photograph is detached from the task or build stage, but is not deleted from your mobile device.
