Identifying projects that are currently under collaboration

You use the Collaborate page to identify the projects that have collaboration enabled and to view the number of programmes that are currently being collaborated on by users in Asta Powerproject. You can filter and sort the projects in the list and change the width of columns in the list.

To access the Collaborate page from the Asta Vision Home page, click Admin then click Collaborate. Collaboration is available only if you use Asta Vision Live, a version of Asta Vision that enables users to collaborate on programmes in real time. Please contact Elecosoft to find out more.

If your organisation uses Asta Vision Live, users are able to collaborate on a set number of programmes at any one time. The number of collaboration sessions that are currently ongoing is displayed at the top of the page. For example, if your users are able to collaborate on up to ten programmes at the same time and seven collaboration sessions are currently ongoing, the page will display '7 of 10 collaboration servers running'. This would mean that users could start three more collaboration sessions before your limit of 10 was reached. If you reach your limit, you cannot start any more collaboration sessions unless you first end a collaboration session that is currently ongoing.

This page lists the projects that have collaboration enabled. To edit a project's details, click the name of the project.

If users are collaborating on a project at this current point in time, a row is displayed for each of the project's programmes, with the following information displayed for each programme:

  • Programme - the type of programme, for example 'Tender' or 'Contract'.
  • Collaborating - a selected check box indicates that users are collaborating on the programme at this current point in time.
  • User - the name of the user that started the collaboration session. Click the name of a user to send them an email. You may want to do this if you have reached your collaboration session limit, to ask that the user end a collaboration session that is currently ongoing.
  • Server - details of the server that is being used for the collaboration session.

If no users are collaborating on a project at this current point in time, the Collaborating check box is cleared and the Programme, User and Server rows are blank for that project.
