Saving a 3D model as an image

You can save an image of the 3D model or IFC group model that is currently displayed in the IFC Model pane. You may want to do this in order to incorporate an image of a model in a document or email. The image is saved exactly as the 3D model or IFC group model currently appears. You can save images in BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG and TIF formats (with PNG format being the default).

To save a 3D model or IFC group model as an image:

On the 4D tab, in the 3D Viewer group, click Save Image. The Save As dialog appears. Alternatively, right-click the IFC Model pane and select Export - Save Image from the menu that appears.
Browse to the folder in which you want to save the image.
Enter the name with which to save the image in the File name field.
Select the file format in which to save the image in the Save as type field.
Click Save.
