Saving a 3D model as an o2c file
You can save the 3D model or IFC group model that is currently displayed in the IFC Model pane in o2c format. The resulting file can be distributed to other stakeholders who can then view the 3D model in 3D using a freely-downloadable o2c plugin or o2c player. The o2c file depicts the 3D model or IFC group model exactly as it appears on the date that is currently selected in the Date control, in the Timeline group on the 4D tab. This means that you can produce o2c files that show what a 3D model looks like today, as it will look like in three weeks' time, etc.
To save a 3D model or IFC group model in o2c format:
- On the 4D tab, in the 3D Viewer group, click Save as O2C. The Save As dialog appears. Alternatively, right-click the IFC Model pane and select Export - Save as O2C from the menu that appears.
Note that this control is available only if you have an o2c plugin or player installed on your computer. - Browse to the folder in which you want to save the image.
- Enter the name with which to save the image in the File name field.
- Click Save.
