Print Profile Properties dialog - Appearance tab
You use the Appearance tab of the Print Profile Properties dialog to specify the appearance of printed output when a particular print profile is used.
How to access the Print Profile Properties dialog
To access the Print Profile Properties dialog, right-click a print profile in Library Explorer and select Properties.
Explanation of the Legends fields on the dialog
| Field | Description |

| Baseline | Select this check box to print a legend explaining the baselines displayed in the printout, or clear it to omit the legend. |
| Calender exception | Select this check box to print a legend explaining the working and non-working exceptions that have been selected on the Non-Working tab of the Format Bar Chart dialog, or clear it to omit the legend. |
| Code library | Select this check box to print a legend explaining the codes used in the project, or clear it to omit the legend. |
| Histogram | Select this check box to print a legend explaining the histograms displayed in the printout, or clear it to omit the legend. |
| Link category | Select this check box to print a legend explaining the link category codes used in the project, or clear it to omit the legend. |

Select this check box to sort code library entries in the legend according to the sort order that has been assigned to them, or clear it to sort them according to the order in which they appear in the printout.

Explanation of the Border fields on the dialog

Explanation of the Bar chart fields on the dialog

| Hide task shadows | Select this check box to print tasks without the 3D shadow effect that appears in the bar chart, or clear it to print tasks with the 3D shadow effect that appears on screen. |
| Show background colour | Select this check box to print the bar chart with a background colour if one has been applied to it, or clear it to print the bar chart with a white background. |
| Show date shading |
Select this check box to print the bar chart with any date range shading that has been applied to it, or clear it to print the bar chart without the date range shading.
If you have configured Asta Powerproject to display date range shading in the date zone as well as in the bar chart, clearing this check box removes date range shading from the bar chart when printing, but not from the date zone. This enables you to save ink: printing when date range shading is displayed in the bar chart can use a lot of ink, especially if you have a large number of date range shading selections.

Explanation of the Spreadsheet fields on the dialog

| Fit columns to text |
Select this check box to alter the size of the spreadsheet columns so that the text they contains fits neatly within, or clear it to print the columns at their current size, which may result in some text being truncated. If you choose to auto-size rows when word wrapping, you may not need to use this printing option in order to display all of the text in the spreadsheet in a printout.

| Show date shading |
Select this check box to print histograms with any date range shading that has been applied to the bar chart, or clear it to print histograms without the date range shading.
If you have configured Asta Powerproject to display date range shading in the date zone as well as in the bar chart and you are printing a histogram view, clearing this check box removes date range shading from the histogram view when printing, but not from the date zone. This enables you to save ink: printing when date range shading is displayed in the histogram view can use a lot of ink, especially if you have a large number of date range shading selections.

Select or clear the check boxes in the main field to specify the way in which you want objects to be printed.

- Click the Bottomradio button to print a legend at the bottom of the printout. Click Font. The Font dialog appears, which you can use to select the font with which to print legends on the printout. Alternatively, select the Use spreadsheet font check box to print legends using the default spreadsheet font.
... specify the way in which to scale the spreadsheet font in the printout?
Click the Automatic radio button to scale the spreadsheet font using default settings, which may make it easier to read.
Alternatively, click the Use radio button and specify the scaling to apply to the spreadsheet font in the field to the right. For example, enter 2 to print the spreadsheet font at twice its normal size.
To print the spreadsheet font with no scaling, click the Off radio button.
