Recording comments against Asta Vision programmes

You use the Add Programme Comment dialog to record comments against programmes that are stored in Asta Vision and - if Asta Vision has been configured to allow this - to attach files to comments. You can attach any type of file that users who can access a specific programme may need access. You can record comments against Asta Vision programmes regardless of whether they are downloaded or checked out.

To record a comment against an Asta Vision programme:

On the Home tab, in the Vision group, click Add Comment. The Add Programme Comment dialog appears.
Enter a comment relating to the programme in the Programme comment field.
Depending on the way in which Asta Vision is configured, you may be able to attach files to programme comments. If you can, an Attachment button is displayed. If you want to attach a file to the comment, click this button and use the dialog that appears to select the file that you want to attach.
If you want to enable Asta Vision users to identify that they have incorporated the comment into the programme - or that they have dealt with it in some other way - select the Display comment completion check box check box. For example, if you record a comment to ask a planner to revise part of a programme, you may want the planner to indicate when the programme has been revised.

If one or more of a programme's comments has Display comment completion check box selected, a Completed column appears on the Programme Comments page in Asta Vision, and users can select the check boxes in this column to indicate that they have incorporated a comment into the programme.
Click OK.
