Cancelling an Asta Vision programme check out

If you have checked out a programme from Asta Vision to your computer and you do not want to check it back in for some reason - for example, if you do not want to save the changes that you have made to the checked out programme, or if you have checked it out by mistake - you can cancel the programme check out. Cancelling a programme check out changes the status of the checked out programme to Checked In, deletes the programme from your computer and makes it available for editing to other users.

To cancel an Asta Vision programme check out, you must be logged into Asta Vision and have the programme open in Asta Powerproject.

To cancel an Asta Vision programme check out, either:

On the Home tab, in the Vision group, click Cancel Check-Out.
Click File, then click Cancel Check-Out.

If you cancel a check out when the programme has been checked out from Asta Vision to an Asta Enterprise server, the programme is moved from the Enterprise server into your 'Backup Files' folder, as specified on the File Locations tab of the Options dialog. Before cancelling a check out to an Asta Enterprise server, you must ensure that all other users have closed the programme, or it will not be possible to cancel the check out.

If you cancel a check out when a programme is currently under collaboration, the collaboration ends and all users' changes are lost.
