Changing the attributes of a view
You can change the filter that is applied to a view, and change the category that is assigned to a view. You can also apply a default print profile to each view, so that the same print profile is always used by default whenever you print a particular view. For bar chart views, as opposed to calendar views, you can also change the table and sort/group that is applied.

To change these attributes for a view other than the current view:
- On the View tab, in the Views group, click the View dropdown and select More Views. The More Views dialog appears.
- Select the view whose attributes you want to change and click Properties. The View Properties dialog - or the Calendar View Properties dialog, if you have selected a calendar view - is displayed, in which you can change the attributes of the view.
When a view is displayed, you can change its filter - and its table and sort/group, in the case of bar chart views - by selecting the one you want on the View tab. If you save your changes to the project, the view's previous settings are overwritten by the new ones.
If you change a user view that has been set up by another user using the View Properties or Calendar View Properties dialog, you are warned and given the option to save the view as a new view rather than changing the existing view. You are given the same option if you try to save another user's view having changed it in another way.
If the view has been locked, any changes you make to it are not saved.
