Specifying whether task pools are displayed in the project view
You can specify whether or not task pools are displayed in the project view. If you use task pools as templates for the creation of networks of tasks, it makes sense to display them; if you do not use task pools, you probably do not want them to be displayed in the project view.
To specify whether task pools are displayed in the project view:
- Click the File tab, then click Options. The Options dialog appears.
- Click the View tab.
- Click Show Types. The Show Types in Project View dialog appears.
- Select the Task pools check box to display task pools in the project view, or clear the check box to omit task pools from the project view.
- Click OK to close the dialog and return to the Options dialog.
- Click OK to close the Options dialog.
If you choose to display task pools in the project view, a top-level entry called 'Task Pools' appears in the project view, which contains an alphanumeric list of the task pools that have been created within the project:
If you select the Task pools check box in the Show Types in Project View dialog before any task pools have been created, the Task Pools entry does not appear immediately in the project view; it appears automatically as soon as the first task pool has been created.
