Expanding and contracting allocations in RBS and CBS views

Initially, each individual allocation appears on its own line in RBS and CBS views. You can contract allocations in RBS and CBS views so that - as far as possible - a resource or cost centre's allocations appear on the same line.

To do this, double-click the summary task that represents the resource or cost centre. The resource or cost centre's allocations contract, as illustrated below:

When you contract a resource or cost centre's allocations, Asta Powerproject attempts to display them all on the same line. However, this is not always possible; note in the example above that the Plot 3 and Plot 4 allocations overlap, so they cannot be displayed on the same line. Overlapping allocations such as these appear on separate lines.

To expand a resource or cost centre's allocations in a RBS or CBS view when they are currently contracted, double-click the summary task that represents the resource or cost centre again. The resource or cost centre's allocations expand, as illustrated below:

If you have configured Asta Powerproject not to show summary tasks for resources and cost centres in RBS and CBS views, you can contract and expand a resource's or cost centre's allocations by right-clicking one of the bars in the Line column and selecting Contracted Allocations. The resource or cost centre's allocations are contracted or expanded accordingly.
