Booking booked out data back into the master project

After editing a destination project, you can book it back into the master project to update the master project with your changes.

Any changes that you have made to existing views in the destination project will not be booked back into the master project; nor will any baselines that you have created in the destination project.

To book a destination project back into the master project, do the following in the master project:

  1. Display the Book In dialog by doing one of the following:
    • On the Project tab, in the Data group, click the Book In/Out dropdown and select Book In.
    • Right-click a chart or summary group in the project view and select Book In.
  2. Select the destination project that you want to book in.
  3. Click Book In. The selected destination project is booked back into the master project, the project view icons of the charts and summary groups that were booked out into the destination project return to normal and the master project is saved.

Once you have booked a destination project back into the master project, the connection between the two projects is terminated and you can delete the destination project.
