Specifying the page layout

You use the Page Setup dialog to specify the page layout of the current border. You do not need to change the page layout of new borders unless you want to alter the way in which they print. For example, you may want to increase the margins of a border, or make it print in landscape orientation rather than portrait. To access the Page Setup dialog, select the Page Setup command from the File menu.

Powerdraw uses the unit of measurement that is specified in your computer's Control Panel. Refer to your Windows® documentation for details of how to change your unit of measurement.

To specify the page layout of the current border:

  1. Select the size of paper on which you want to design your border, for example A3 or A4, in the Paper Size field.

To use a non-standard paper size, select Custom in the Paper Size field and enter the appropriate dimensions in the Width and Height fields.
  2. Specify the page orientation by selecting the Portrait or Landscape radio buttons.
  3. Enter specific margins you want to apply to the border in the Top, Bottom, Left and Right fields.

Click Auto-set Margins to display the Auto-set Margins dialog if required, which you can use to set the margins of the border to match those of your installed printers.
  4. Enter a descriptive name for the border in the Border Style Name field.
  5. Click OK to confirm your changes and close the Page Setup dialog.

The page in the current border window is redisplayed to reflect your settings.
