Defining the 3D model area
If you are planning to use a border for printing from within Asta Powerproject 4D, you can define the area in which the 3D model that is currently displayed in the IFC Model pane will be printed. This enables Asta Powerproject 4D users to print graphical representations of 3D models alongside the corresponding project plans.
Do not define a 3D model area in a border unless you are planning to use the border to print projects from within Asta Powerproject 4D: if you use a border that includes a 3D model area to print from an Asta Powerproject project that is not associated with a 3D model - or from an Asta Easyplan project - nothing will be printed in the area that you have defined.
To define the 3D model area:
- Select the Create
Object command from the Draw
menu then select the Model Area
command, or click
.
- Click and drag the cursor to outline the area of the border that you want the 3D model area to occupy.
- Release the left mouse button when the 3D model area is the required size and shape.
- Click away from the 3D model area to deselect it.
The 3D model area is placed in front of any other items that are currently placed on the border. You can move the 3D model area by selecting it and dragging it across the border, and you can resize it by selecting it and dragging its handles.
