Converting an old border
You use the Convert File From Old Border Format dialog to convert borders that were created using the old Border application to Powerdraw's format. The conversion is necessary as Powerdraw uses different margin settings to the old Border application. You specify how the margins of the old border are converted. The Convert File From Old Border Format dialog appears when you open a border that was created using the old Border application in Powerdraw.
You can convert the margins of old borders using the following methods:

Powerdraw applies the following default margins:
- Top: 15mm.
- Bottom: 20mm.
- Left: 10mm.
- Right: 10mm.

Powerdraw ascertains the hard margins of your current printer and applies these margins, adding 2mm to each margin to allow for inaccuracies in the printer driver.

Powerdraw ascertains the hard margins of all the printers currently installed on your computer and applies margins that will work with all printers, adding 2mm to each margin to allow for inaccuracies in the printer drivers.
To convert an old border to Powerdraw's format:
- Specify the way in which you want the border's margins to be adjusted.
- Click OK to confirm your changes and close the Convert File From Old Border Format dialog.
The border opens in a new border window, using the margin method you specify.
