Changing a picture's attributes
You use the Picture tab of the
Details dialog to format the currently-selected picture and change the way it appears in a border. The tabs available on the Details dialog depend on the items that are selected when you display the dialog. For example, if you choose to edit the attributes of a picture and a shape, the dialog contains two tabs: Picture and Shape. To access the Details dialog, select the item or items you want to maintain then select the Details command from the Edit menu, or click .

Select the category into which you want to place the selected picture in the Categories field.
You can place items into categories and turn the categories on and off in order to show or hide the items within the categories.

- Select the Print on every page radio button to make the selected picture print on all pages of a printout, in cases where a printout exceeds a single page.
- Select the Print on the following only radio button, then select the page or pages on which you want the selected picture to print to make the selected picture print on specific pages, in cases where a printout exceeds a single page.
You may find this feature useful if you want to create a border that displays different items on certain pages. For example, you can create borders that:
- Display items on the first page only - useful for an introduction.
- Display items on the last page only - useful for a conclusion.
- Display items on all pages but the first and last pages.
- Display different information on odd and even pages - useful if you want to print the border in duplex and want information to be mirrored on odd and even pages.

Click Filename. You see the Open dialog. Locate and select the picture you want to add in place of the current picture, then click Open to return to the Details dialog.

Select the Preserve aspect ratio when sizing check box to maintain the aspect ratio, or deselect the check box to enable you to change the ratio when you resize the picture.

Select the Embed Picture check box to store a copy of the picture within the border file, rather than referencing the picture in its current location. This is useful if the picture may be moved from its current location, or if you intend to use the border on a computer on which the picture is not present. Deselect the check box to reference the picture in its current location rather than storing a copy in the border file.
Click OK to confirm your changes and close the Details dialog.
