Assigning project tags
You can assign project tags to projects, master plan activities, pull plans, project teams and tasks, to categorise them in any way you like. When you assign a project tag, the available tags are displayed in two separate lists:
- 'Global Tags' - project tags that can be applied to any project, pull plan, project team or task.
- 'Project Tags' - project tags that are specific to a particular project and that can be applied only to that project, or to its activities, pull plans and tasks.
Applying a project tag to a project
To apply a project tag to a project:
- Click Projects in the left pane. The Projects page appears.
- Click a project in the list. The Project Details page appears.
- Click the Project Tags dropdown and select any project tags that are applicable. You can select any number of project tags.
Any tags that you select are added to the list of assigned tags beneath the Project Tags field. Click to the right of a project tag to unassign it.
Applying a project tag to a master plan activity
To apply a project tag to a master plan activity:
- Click Projects in the left pane. The Projects page appears.
- Click a project in the list. The Project Details page appears.
- Click Master Plan at the top of the page. The Project Master Plan page appears.
- Click in an activity's row in the spreadsheet to edit the details of an activity. The Edit Activity dialog appears.
- Click the Project Tags dropdown and select any project tags that are applicable. You can select any number of project tags.
Any tags that you select are added to the list of assigned tags beneath the Project Tags field. Click to the right of a project tag to unassign it. - Click Save to save any changes you have made to the activity. Your changes are saved and you are returned to the Project Master Plan page.
Applying a project tag to a pull plan
To apply a project tag to a pull plan:
- Click Pull Plans in the left pane. The Pull Plans page appears.
- Click a pull plan in the list. The Pull Plan Details page appears.
- Click the Project Tags dropdown and select any project tags that are applicable. You can select any number of project tags.
Any tags that you select are added to the list of assigned tags beneath the Project Tags field. Click to the right of a project tag to unassign it.
Applying a project tag to a project team
To apply a project tag to a project team:
- Click Project Teams in the left pane. The Project Teams page appears.
- Click a project team in the list. The Edit Project Team dialog appears.
- Within the dialog, click Project Tags.
- Click the Project Tags dropdown and select any project tags that are applicable. You can select any number of project tags.
Any tags that you select are added to the list of assigned tags beneath the Project Tags field. Click to the right of a project tag to unassign it. - Click Save to save any changes you have made to the project team details. Your changes are saved and you return to the Project Teams page.
Applying a project tag to a task
To apply a project tag to a task:
- Click Pull Plans in the left pane. The Pull Plans page appears.
- Click a pull plan in the list. The Pull Plan Details page appears.
- Click Tasks at the top of the page. The Pull Plan Tasks page appears.
- Click a task in the list. The Edit Task dialog appears.
- Within the dialog, click the Project Tags tab.
- Click the Project Tags dropdown and select any project tags that are applicable. You can select any number of project tags.
Any tags that you select are added to the list of assigned tags beneath the Project Tags field. Click to the right of a project tag to unassign it. - Click Save to save any changes you have made to the task details. Your changes are saved and you return to the Pull Plan Tasks page.
