To launch Asta Powerproject SaaS - or another application - from the Remote Desktop workspace:

  1. On the computer on which you installed Asta Powerproject SaaS, launch Microsoft Remote Desktop. The Remote Desktop workspace appears:

    The Remote Desktop workspace

You may find it helpful to pin Remote Desktop to the Start menu or to the taskbar (Microsoft Windows) or to the Dock (macOS) to make it easier to launch.

The Remote Desktop workspace contains links to the following apps:
    • Asta Powerproject SaaS - Elecosoft’s project management application.
    • Powerdraw - use this to design borders for use when printing in Asta Powerproject SaaS.
    • File Share - a file management application - very much like Windows Explorer - that you can use to access files on your local computer and on your Cloud storage area.
  2. To launch Asta Powerproject SaaS - or one of the other apps - double-click it.

If you did not select the Remember me check box the last time you launched one of these apps, the Enter your credentials prompt appears:

    The Enter your credentials prompt
  3. Enter the password that was provided by Elecosoft in the Password field then click OK.

If you want to prevent this prompt from appearing each time you launch an app from the Remote Desktop workspace, select the Remember me check box before clicking OK. Note that this option is not available if you are using a computer running macOS.

    The selected app is launched.

Pinning Asta Powerproject SaaS and other apps to the Start menu or taskbar (Microsoft Windows only)

To save having to use the Remote Desktop workspace to launch Asta Powerproject SaaS and the other apps that are available on the Remote Desktop workspace, you can pin the apps individually to the Start menu or taskbar.

To pin Asta Powerproject SaaS or another app to the Start menu or taskbar:

  1. Launch the app from the Remote Desktop workspace, as described above.
  2. Click the Windows Start button. You see a list of recently-accessed apps and files.
