Progress Period Properties dialog
You use the
Progress Period Properties dialog to view and maintain details of the progress periods that you use to mark progress in

To access the Progress Period Properties dialog, right-click a progress period in Library Explorer and select Properties, or right-click a progress period line in the bar chart and select Properties.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Name | Enter a name to apply to the progress period. |
Report date | Enter the report date and time of this progress period. When using this progress period, progress can be marked up to this date. |
Locked |
Select this check box to lock the progress period and prevent it from being used to enter progress, or clear this check box to unlock a locked progress period and make it usable again.
For example, you may want to lock historic progress periods, or future progress periods that have been entered into a project but that should not yet be used.

Vertical progress style | Specify the appearance of the line marking this progress period's report date. Click to change the line appearance. |
Fill style | Select the appearance of the shading with which to mark progress carried out within this progress period on tasks and allocations. |
Keep colours in step |
Select this check box to keep the colour of the progress shading in step with the colour of the line marking the progress period's report date, so that when one is changed, the other is changed to the same colour automatically, or clear the check box to enable different colours to be selected for the progress shading and the progress line.
In detail, selecting this check box means that:
Note that selecting this check box gives the best results if you configure the progress line to have the same outline and fill colours, and the progress shading to have the same foreground and background fill colours. |
How do I...

- Enter a description of the progress period in the Name field.
- Enter the report date and time of the progress period in the Report date field.
- Select the Locked check box if you want to prevent users from marking progress against tasks and allocations using this progress period, or clear the check box to make a currently-locked progress period usable.
- Select the line style with which to mark the report date in the Vertical progress style field.
- Select the appearance of the shading with which to mark progress carried out within this progress period on tasks and allocations in the Fill style fields.
- Select the Keep colours in step check box to keep the colour of the progress shading in step with the colour of the line marking the progress period's report date, or clear the check box to enable different colours to be selected for the progress shading and the progress line.
