Permanent Allocation Properties - Levelling dialog
You use the Permanent Allocation Properties - Levelling dialog to specify the way in which resource levelling can affect the permanent resource allocation.

To access the Permanent Allocation Properties - Levelling dialog, click the Levelling button on the Permanent Allocation Properties dialog.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Can be delayed |
Select this check box to specify that the start date of the allocation can be delayed by resource levelling, or clear the check box to specify that the allocation cannot be delayed by levelling.
Even if you clear this check box to prevent the start date of the allocation from being delayed, the finish date of the allocation can be changed if you select the Can be stretched check box. |
Can be split | Select this check box to specify that the allocation can be divided into two or more individual allocations split by a period of time during resource levelling, or clear the check box to indicate that the allocation must remain whole. |
Can be stretched | Select this check box to specify that the duration of the allocation can be increased by resource levelling, or clear the check box to specify that the duration of the allocation cannot be increased by levelling. |
Minimum levelling split | Enter the minimum amount of time after which the allocation can be divided into two or more individual allocations. For example, enter 1d to specify that the allocation can only be split one day or more into the allocation. This is to prevent allocations from being split into unfeasibly small portions. |
Minimum allocation | Enter the minimum allocation below which the allocation must not be stretched. For example, if a task requires two people to perform it, enter 2.00 to specify that the allocation can only be stretched as low as 2 resources. This is to prevent allocations from being stretched into unfeasibly small allocations, such as half a person. |
