Options dialog - Calendars tab
You use the Calendars tab of the
Options dialog to specify the way in which calendars operate by default in

To access the Options dialog, click the File tab, then click Options.

Field | Description |

Use Calendar Wizard to create new calendars | Select this check box to use the Calendar Wizard to create new calendars, or clear the check box to create new calendars manually, without using the wizard. |
Use an existing work pattern | Click this radio button to specify that new calendars will use an existing work pattern. Select the work pattern in the New work pattern default field. |
Copy an existing work pattern, named after the new calendar | Click this radio button to specify that new calendars will use a copy of an existing work pattern. Select the work pattern in the New work pattern default field. The copy is named after the new calendar. |
New work pattern default | Select the default work pattern to be used or copied by new calendars. Click Properties to view and edit the selected work pattern. |
Number cells by date | Click this radio button to display the date on each day cell on the Calendar tab of the Calendar Properties dialog. |
Number cells by week number | Click this radio button to display the number of the week on the first day of each week on the Calendar tab of the Calendar Properties dialog. |
No cell numbering | Click this radio button to display the day cells on the Calendar tab of the Calendar Properties dialog without any numbering. |
Week 1 contains first Thursday in January | If you choose to number the day cells by week number, use this check box to specify the way in which you want to number weeks: select the check box to number weeks according to the international standard date and time notation, as specified in international standard ISO 8601, whereby week 1 is the week containing the first Thursday in January, or clear the check box to number weeks according to |
Show past dates | Select this check box to enable editing of dates prior to today's date on the Calendar tab of the Calendar Properties dialog, or clear the check box to disable editing. |
Colour display threshold | Enter the amount of working time at which a day should display the working time colour at its full intensity on the Calendar tab of the Calendar Properties dialog. |
No working time colour | Select the colour in which to display days that have no working time on the Calendar tab of the Calendar Properties dialog. |
Working time colour | Select the colour in which to display days that have working time at or above the selected colour display threshold on the Calendar tab of the Calendar Properties dialog. |

Select the Use Calendar Wizard to create new calendars check box to create new calendars using the Calendar Wizard, or clear the check box to create new calendars manually without the wizard.

- Specify whether you want new calendars to use an existing work pattern, or whether a copy of an existing work pattern is created for each new calendar, in the Default calendar work pattern group.
- Select the work pattern you want to apply or copy in the New work pattern default field.

Select one of the following radio buttons:
- Number cells by date - to display the date on each day cell.
- Number cells by week number - to display the number of the week on the first day of each week.
- No cell numbering - to display the day cells without any numbering.
If you choose to number the cells by week number, use the Week 1 contains first Thursday in January check box to specify the way in which you want to number weeks.

Select the Show past dates check box to enable editing of dates prior to today's date, or clear the check box to disable editing.

- Enter the amount of working time at which a day should display the working time colour at its full intensity in the Colour display threshold field.
- Select the colour in which to display days that have no working time in the No working time colour field.
- Select the colour in which to display days that have working time at or above the selected colour display threshold in the Working time colour field.
