Format Bar Chart dialog - Vertical Scale tab
You use the Vertical Scale tab of the Format Bar Chart dialog to specify the vertical scale of bars and allocations in the bar chart.
How to access the Format Bar Chart dialog
To access the Format Bar Chart dialog, on the Format tab, in the Format group, click Format Bar Chart.
Explanation of the fields on the dialog

Enter the height to apply to tasks. |

Enter the height to apply to the space between the top of the bar line and the top of tasks, and between the bottom of the bar line and the bottom of tasks; the measurement you enter here is split equally between the gap at the top of tasks and the gap at the bottom of tasks. |

| Baseline - Allocation bar height | Enter the height to apply to baseline allocations. |

| Task to baseline gap | Enter the gap to apply between the bottom of live tasks and the top of their first baseline tasks, when baselines are displayed in the same bar as the corresponding live tasks. |
| Auto-size rows when word-wrapping |
Select this check box to allow the height of spreadsheet rows to adjust automatically when you choose to word-wrap text in the spreadsheet so that all of the text within them is visible, or clear the check box to force spreadsheet rows to maintain the same height, regardless of the amount of text within them.

Note that if the current view is displayed in 'jagged progress' mode, the Live and Baseline groups on this tab are swapped around and the options relating to allocations are unavailable.

Enter the dimensions in which you want to display bars and allocations in the live data in the Live group.

Enter the dimensions in which you want to display bars and allocations from baselines in the Baseline group.

Select the Auto-size rows when word-wrapping check box to adjust the height of spreadsheet rows automatically when text is word-wrapped, or clear the check box to word-wrap text without adjusting the height of spreadsheet rows.
