Format Bar Chart dialog - Baselines tab
You use the Baselines tab of the Format Bar Chart dialog to specify the baselines that are displayed on the bar chart and to specify the appearance of baseline tasks and allocations when they are displayed. You can display baselines for the tasks in a project, for the allocations, or for both.
Note that if the current view is displayed in 'jagged progress' mode, all of the fields on this tab are unavailable, except those in the Appearance group and the Show live tasks check box.

To access the Format Bar Chart dialog, on the Format tab, in the Format group, click Format Bar Chart.

Field | Description |

If you have associated different baselines with individual projects, you can display tasks from the project baselines in the bar chart by selecting the Project baseline check box.

As set in baseline manager |
Click this radio button to display baseline tasks and allocations using their default appearance, as specified in the Default baseline colour field, on the General tab of the Options dialog.
If appearance settings have been defined for an individual baseline, using the Appearance fields on the Baseline/What If Manager dialog, baseline tasks and allocations are displayed using the individual baseline appearance settings, rather than the default baseline colour. |
As set by current task or resource | Click this radio button to display baseline tasks and allocations using the appearance of the corresponding task or allocation in the current project. |
Show as non-critical | Select this check box to display all baseline tasks without critical marking, regardless of whether they are on the critical path in the baseline, or clear the check box to display tasks that are on the critical path in the baseline as critical, provided that the Critical path check box has been selected on the Schedule tab of the Format Bar Chart dialog. |
Always show new baselines | Select this check box to display baselines automatically as soon as they have been created, or clear the check box to omit them from display unless you choose to display them, using this dialog. |
Show baselines on their own lines | Select this check box to display baseline tasks and allocations on their own lines in the bar chart, or clear the check box to display them on the same line as the corresponding task or allocation. |
Show live tasks |
Select this check box to display tasks from the live project when the current view is displayed in 'jagged progress' mode, or clear the check box to hide live tasks so that only tasks from the current baseline - or from individual project baselines if 'jagged progress' mode is configured to show progress on them - are displayed.
