Block-linking tasks
Block-linking is a quick way of inserting Finish-to-Start (FS) links between two or more selected tasks on different bars; you cannot block-link tasks on the same bar.
To block-link tasks:
- Select the tasks that you want to link.
- On the Home tab, in the Schedule group, click the Add/Delete Links dropdown and select Link Tasks.
The tasks are linked from the first task downwards using FS links.
If you select more than one task on the same bar or whole bars, the Block Link Method dialog appears when you select the Link Tasks command for you to choose how the tasks are linked. You can choose to link the last task on one bar with the first task on the next, or to link corresponding tasks on the selected bars:

When you block-link tasks that have partial progress, the links are attached to their uncompleted sections only.
