Linking tasks on the same bar

You can draw links between consecutive tasks on the same bar, for example to ensure that there is a particular delay between the end of one task and the start of the next:

Linked tasks on the same bar

When you draw a link between tasks on the same bar, the link is represented as a horizontal line between the tasks.

You can only draw FS links from the first task to the second task, or SF links from the second task to the first task; you cannot draw links from the middle of one task to the middle of another task on the same bar.

If you draw a link between tasks whose owning tasks are expanded tasks or summary tasks that are located on the same bar line, the link between the two tasks is drawn as a horizontal reflected link between the two owning tasks:

Reflected links show the existence of a link between two subcharts or summary groups.

If both owning tasks are expanded in situ, then the link is drawn as a normal link between the two tasks.
