Working in one-task-per-line mode

You can display bars in one-task-per-line mode so that each task on the bar is displayed on a separate bar line. This means that you can view and edit task information rather than bar information in the spreadsheet, and you can work with individual tasks more easily.

To switch a bar to one-task-per-line mode, click the + symbol to the left of the bar number:

Click + to activate one-task-per-line mode

When you click the + symbol it becomes a - symbol and any tasks on the bar are displayed on separate bar lines so that you can view task information rather than bar information in the spreadsheet. When a bar is displayed in one-task-per-line mode, you can enter and edit task names in the Name column.

To turn off one-task-per-line mode, click the - symbol to the left of the bar number:

Click - to deactivate one-task-per-line mode

When a bar is displayed in one-task-per-line mode, you can add more tasks to that bar by drawing tasks on any of its lines. The new task will be inserted on a separate line between the two tasks that come before and after the new task.
