Entering dates and times into the spreadsheet

You enter dates and times into the spreadsheet by typing them directly into spreadsheet cells. You can also select dates using a built-in date picker control.

A date/time spreadsheet cell normally looks like this (your date and time format may be different, depending on the way in which the spreadsheet cells are formatted and on whether times are displayed with dates):

When you click inside the cell, a drop-down arrow appears:

Enter the date and time by typing into the cell, or click the drop-down arrow to display the date picker control in which you can select a date:

The date picker control is available in all date fields in Asta Powerproject, not only in the spreadsheet. Note that you cannot select a time using the date picker control.

Specifying whether to display week numbering in date picker controls

You can choose whether or not to display week numbering in date picker controls, as highlighted in yellow in the illustration below:

To specify whether to display week numbering in date picker controls:

  1. Click the File tab, then click Options. The Options dialog appears.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Select the Show week numbers on date picker check box to display week numbering in the drop-down date picker controls that you can use to select dates in Asta Powerproject, or clear the check box to omit week numbering from the date pickers.
  4. Click Close.
