Backstage view - Properties tab
You use the Properties tab of the Backstage view to view some high-level information about the project that is currently active. A thumbnail view of the active project is also displayed, along with a button that you can use to access more detailed information about the active project.

To access the Backstage view, click the File tab.

Field | Description |

Name | The descriptive name of the project. |
Short name | The descriptive short name of the project. |
By | The name of the person who has planned the project. |
For | The name of the organisation or individual for whom the project has been planned. |
Start date | The start date of the first task in the project. |
Finish date | The finish date of the last task in the project. |
Duration | The period of time taken by the project. |
Date zero | The date at which unit numbering in any "elapsed units" or "working units" line that is displayed in the date zone begins. |
Imposed start | The date at which the project is constrained to start. |
Imposed finish | The date at which the project is constrained to finish. |
Duration unit | The time unit in which the duration is displayed. |
Delivery date | The date on which the project must be delivered. |
Progress method | Whether progress on summary tasks is calculated according to the child tasks' cost percent complete, duration percent complete, effort percent complete or overall percent complete. |
Progress date | The average date up to which the whole project has been progressed. This is the date up to which progress is shaded on the expanded task of the project's programme chart. |
Report date | The report date of the progress period used most recently in the project. |
% complete | The total duration percent complete of the project. |
Use calculated overall % weights | Selected if the overall percentage complete weighting of summary tasks, expanded tasks and hammocks is calculated based on the weightings of the tasks they contain; cleared if weightings have been entered against these tasks manually. |
Site Progress library | A code library that has been used to associate Asta Site Progress users with their tasks. |
Effort (demand) | The total amount of scheduled effort in the project. The total amount of demand effort is shown in brackets. |
Work | The total amount of work undertaken by permanent resources in the project. |
Cost | The total cost of the project. |
Income | The total income to the project. |
Ignore satisfied costs in roll-ups | Selected if the costs of satisfied demand allocations are ignored in cost totals on parent tasks; cleared if they are included. |
Status | Indicates whether any part of the project is booked out. |
Number of tasks | The number of tasks in the project. |
Number of links | The number of links in the project. |
Number of logged on users | The number of users currently logged into the project. |
