Backstage view - Open tab
You use the Open tab of the Backstage view to open projects. If you use Asta Vision to store projects in the Cloud, you use this dialog to download programmes from Asta Vision.
If more than one user has been set up in the project that you are opening and you know the user name and password of multiple users, you can open a project using a different user's user name and password.
How to access the Backstage view
To access the Backstage view, click the File tab.
Explanation of the fields and buttons on the Open tab

| Disable IFC model loading |
When you open a project that has been saved in Asta Powerproject 4D in PPV format, the 3D model or IFC group model usually opens alongside the project, allowing you to view and navigate around the model.
Select this check box to open an Asta Powerproject 4D project without opening its associated 3D model or IFC group model. Projects open more quickly when they are opened without their associated 3D models or IFC group models. |

- Click This PC. A navigable folder list appears.
- Navigate around the folder list to the folder in which the project is located.
- Click the project to open it.
... open a programme that is stored in Asta Vision?
- Click the File tab, then click Open.
- Click Asta Vision. A button appears for you to log into Asta Vision.
- Log into Asta Vision. A list of programmes to which you have access appears.
- Click the programme to download a copy of the latest revision of the programme.
If you want to download a different revision of a programme, right-click the programme and select Download Specific Revision rather than clicking it to download the latest revision.

- Click Browse. The Select dialog appears, which you can use to search for projects.
- Navigate to the folder that contains the Asta Powerproject 4D project you want to open.
- Select 'APV 4D Files' in the Files of type field.
- Select the project and click Open to open it.
... open a project using a different user name and password?
- Click the File tab, then click Open.
- Click This PC. A navigable folder list appears.
- Navigate around the list to the location in which the project is stored.
- Right-click the project and select Open as New User. The Logon to Project dialog appears.
- Enter the other user's user name and password, then click OK to open the project.
