Preparing to print

Before printing the active view, ensure that it displays the information you want. For example, you may want to print a project with some summary tasks open and some closed; if you want to print a histogram on its own without the spreadsheet and bar chart, you need to display it in a separate window. If you want to print a calendar view, you must first display the calendar view.

If a 3D model or IFC group model is currently displayed in the IFC Model pane and you are using a border that includes a model area, be sure to position and configure the 3D model or IFC group model so that it appears exactly as you want it to appear in the printout. You may want to display it in orthogonal or perspective mode, to zoom in or out and to hide or display certain objects. You can also use the Date field in the Timeline group on the 4D tab of the Ribbon or on the dockable Timeline Controls pane to display the 3D model at the appropriate date.

When you have prepared the view for printing, preview it to ensure that the output is exactly what you intend.
