User Properties dialog
You use the User Properties dialog to edit the user name of your own user record or of the currently-selected user, to assign the user to the appropriate security group - which defines their access rights - and to specify the view that should appear by default when the user opens the project. You can also access a dialog in which you can change the user's password.
How to access the User Properties dialog
To access the User Properties dialog, right-click a user in Library Explorer and select Properties.
Explanation of the fields and buttons on the dialog
| Field | Description |

| Name | Enter the name of the user. |
| Security group |
Select the security group to which the user should belong. The security group to which a user belongs determines the user's access rights over the project.

| Properties | Click this button to edit the properties of the selected security group. |
| Default view |
Select a view to be used by default when the user opens the project, provided that User default view has been selected in the Restore on project open field on the View tab of the Options dialog.

| Change Password |
Click this button to display the Password dialog, which you can use to change the user's password.

... edit a user's name?
Enter a new name in the Name field.
... assign the user to a security group which determines their access rights?
Select the security group with the appropriate access rights in the Security group field.

Select the view that you want to be used by default when the user opens the project - provided that User default view has been selected in the Restore on project open field on the View tab of the Options dialog - in the Default view field.

Click Change Password to display the Password dialog, which you can use to change the user's password.
