Standard Work Properties dialog
You use the Standard Work Properties dialog to edit the name and appearance of the currently selected standard work type, and to specify whether the standard work type is in active use in a project. Standard work types represent time that permanent resources are not available to work on project activities. Standard work types might be activities such as administration or training of other staff.

To access the Standard Work Properties dialog, right-click a standard work type in Library Explorer and select Properties.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Name | Enter a description of the standard work type, for example Management Duties or Meetings. |
Active | Select this check box to specify that the standard work type is currently active, or clear the check box to specify that it is inactive. You may want to mark standard work types as 'inactive' to prevent users from assigning them to permanent resources. |
Draw order |
Specify the order of drawing precedence to assign to this type of standard work when standard work shading is displayed in the bar chart.
Standard work types with higher values are drawn in front of those with lower values, which means that if two types of standard work coincide at a point on the bar chart, one with a draw order of 3 and the other with a draw order of 5, the type with a draw order of 5 will fully or partially obscure the type with a draw order of 3. |
Fill style | Select a foreground fill colour, background fill colour and pattern to use when displaying standard work shading in the bar chart. |
