Displaying resources' standard work in the spreadsheet

You can display the standard work that has been assigned to permanent resources in the spreadsheet, by configuring a spreadsheet column to display the Standard work field. For bars in RBS views that relate to permanent resources, this field displays all standard work that has been assigned to a resource; for bars that relate to permanent resource allocations, both in RBS views and in normal project hierarchy views, this field displays all standard work that has been assigned to a resource between the start and finish of the allocation in question.

You can choose to display information about specific types of standard work, you can choose to display only information about actual or remaining standard work, and you can restrict the information that the field displays to a specific date range.

To display the Standard work field in the spreadsheet:

  1. Right-click a column heading, select Add Column, then select Resource - Standard work from the submenus that appear. A column displaying the Standard work field is inserted to the left of the column that you right-clicked.

Depending on the way Asta Powerproject is configured, the Table Definition Properties dialog may appear automatically. If it does not, right-click the heading of the new column and select Table Definition to display it. You can use this dialog to configure the new column.
  2. If you want to restrict the information that the field displays to a specific date range, enter a range of dates in the Dates fields.
  3. If you want to display information about a specific type of standard work, select the standard work type in the Standard work field; if you select a standard work folder, standard work for all of the standard work types within the folder will be included.
  4. If you want to display only information about actual or remaining standard work, select Actual or Remaining in the Show field.
  5. Specify the time unit in which to display information in the Override time unit field.
  6. Click Close.
