Select Replacement Object dialog
You use the Select Replacement Object dialog to specify the object with which you want to replace the Library Explorer object that you are deleting. The object that you select in this dialog will be assigned to anything to which the object that you are deleting was assigned.
How to access the Select Replacement Object dialog
The Select Replacement Object dialog appears when you choose to delete and replace a Library Explorer object.

The hierarchy of objects from which you can choose one to replace the object that you are deleting.
If you are selecting a replacement permanent resource, you must select a one with the same skills as the resource that you are deleting; if you are selecting a replacement cost centre or cost and income rate, you are warned if the replacement has costs that differ from the object that you are deleting.
If you are deleting and replacing a cost and income rate and the replacement cost and income rate that you select would result in one or more duplicate cost and income rate assignments on permanent resources (this would happen if the replacement cost and income rate was already assigned to a permanent resource), you are warned that the duplicate assignment would be lost if you were to continue. |
