Save View dialog
You use the Save View dialog to save the current view as a new view. You can specify a number of options for the new view.

To access the Save View dialog, on the View tab, in the Views group, click Save As.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Save this view as | Enter a name to apply to the copy of the view. |
Category | Select the category into which to save a copy of the view, or select None to save the view without placing it into a category. |
Project view |
Select this check box if you want this to be a project view, or clear the check box if you want it to be a user view. This check box is greyed out if you do not have access rights to create project views, as you can only create user views.
|
Display on menu | Select this check box to display the view on the View dropdown in the Views group on the View tab, or clear the check box if you want it to be available only via the More Views dialog. |
Available in Project Viewer |
Select this check box if you want to make the view available when users open this project in Elecosoft's free project viewing software - Project Viewer - or clear the check box to hide the view from users when the project is opened in Project Viewer.
Clearing this check box is a simple way of hiding views that contain sensitive information - for example, cost information - from users of Project Viewer. |
Visible to all users | If you are creating a user view, select this check box if you want this view to be available to all other users, or clear the check box if you want the view to be available to yourself only. Project views are available to all users automatically. |
Use view scales |
Select this check box to apply the date zone scale to all charts within the view, or clear the check box to enable you to choose a different scale for each chart within the view.
With the check box selected, if you change the date zone scale within one chart, the scale is applied to all charts; with it cleared, if you change the scale within one chart, the scale is only applied to that chart (and its subcharts, unless you subsequently change the scale within them). |
