Resource Usage Properties dialog - Scope tab
You use the Scope tab of the Resource Usage Properties dialog to specify the scope of the data that should be included in the resource usage view when analysing resource or cost centre usage. You can configure the resource usage view to analyse data in the entire programme of projects, in the current view or in specific charts or branches of the programme. You can also apply a filter to the resource usage view and limit it using a date range.
How to access the Resource Usage Properties dialog
To access the Resource Usage Properties dialog, click Properties in the left pane of the resource usage view, or right-click an allocation row in the resource usage view and select Resource Usage View Properties.
Explanation of the fields and buttons on the dialog
| Field/Button | Description |

| All | Click this radio button to analyse resource or cost centre usage throughout the entire programme of projects. |
| View | Click this radio button to analyse resource or cost centre usage throughout the current view. |
| Branch | Click this radio button to analyse resource or cost centre usage throughout the current branch of the programme of projects - ie throughout the current chart and all of its subcharts. |
| Selected chart | Click this radio button to analyse resource or cost centre usage throughout one or more individual charts, which you can select in the field to the right. |
| Selected branch | Click this radio button to analyse resource or cost centre usage throughout one or more individual branches, which you can select in the field to the right. |
| Activity filter | Select a filter to apply to the resource usage view, so that only data that matches the filter criteria is analysed. |
| Properties | Click this button to view and maintain the properties of the selected filter. |
| Date range | To analyse resource or cost centre usage over a particular date range, enter the start and finish dates at which the analysis should start and finish. If you specify a date range, all data that falls outside the range is excluded. You can enter dates into both fields, or into just one of the fields. |

... specify the scope of the data that should be included in the resource usage view?
- Click the appropriate Assignment scope radio button to specify whether to analyse data throughout the entire programme of projects, the current view or branch, or in specific charts or branches of the programme. If you choose to analyse data in specific charts or branches, select the charts or branches in the field to the right.
- Select a filter in the Activity filter field if you want to apply a filter to the resource usage view.
- Enter one or more dates in the Date range fields if you want to limit the resource usage view to a particular range of dates.
