Properties view - Allocations tab
You use the Allocations tab of the properties view to view the properties of any resource and cost allocations on the selected task. The allocations are listed in a grid. Some of the fields in the grid are editable - and some are editable only for certain types of allocation.
Not all fields may currently be displayed in the grid. You can select which fields are displayed by right-clicking the grid and selecting Show Fields from the menu that appears.

How to access the properties view
To access the properties view, click 
on the status bar.
Explanation of the fields
| Field | Description |

| Allocatable name | The name of the resource or cost centre that has been allocated. |
| Type | Whether the allocation is of a permanent resource, a consumable resource or a cost centre. |
| Allocation | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the number of the resource that has been allocated. |
| Amount total | For permanent resource allocations, the total effort; for consumable resource allocations, the total quantity; for cost allocations, the total cost. |
| Amount done | For permanent resource allocations, the total effort completed; for consumable resource allocations, the total quantity completed; for cost allocations, the total cost completed. |
| Amount remaining | For permanent resource allocations, the total effort yet to be completed; for consumable resource allocations, the total quantity yet to be completed; for cost allocations, the total cost yet to be completed. |
| Amount rate | For consumable resource allocations, the consumption rate, ie the amount of time (for example 1 hour per circuit board) or the amount of resource (for example 1 circuit board per hour). |
| Amount rate time unit | For consumable resource allocations, the time unit used to determine the consumption rate. |
| Allocation type | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, whether the allocation is a demand or a scheduled allocation; for cost allocations, whether the allocation relates to cost or income. |
| Quantity pending | For permanent and consumable resource demand allocations, the quantity of the demand allocation that is pending, ie that which has not yet been satisfied by scheduled allocations. |
| Devolves/Satisfies | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the demand allocation that is satisfied or devolved to the allocation. |
| Modelling type | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the type of modelling applied to the allocation; for cost centre allocations, the way in which the allocation is calculated - either as a fixed amount, or based on time or task work. |
| Duration | The time taken by the allocation. |
| Calculated parameter | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the parameter that is calculated automatically as part of resource modelling. |
| Balancing parameter | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the parameter that is adjusted automatically when you resize the allocation by dragging in the bar chart. |
| Rate type | For consumable resource allocations, whether the consumption rate is calculated as time units per unit (for example hours per carpet tile) or units per time unit (for example carpet tiles per hour). |
| Factor | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the work from task factor, ie the default factor by which the task work should be multiplied when using the Work From Task modelling method (permanent resource allocations) or the Quantity From Task or Quantity On Allocation modelling method (consumable resource allocations). |
| Use task calendar | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, whether the allocation uses the task's calendar or the resource's calendar. |
| Cost total | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the total cost. |
| Actual cost | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the total cost completed. |
| Cost remaining | For permanent and consumable resource allocations, the total cost yet to be completed. |
| Allocation group name | The name of the allocation group to which the allocated cost or resource belongs, if any. |

| Point spend | For cost allocations, whether the cost or income occurs at a single point in time or over the duration of a task. |

Double-click an allocation in the grid to view a dialog in which you can view and edit its details.
The properties view may or may not display a number of tabs that display advanced information. If these tabs are not currently displayed, you can click >> to display them. If they are currently displayed, you can click << to hide them from view.
