Passwords dialog - Server tab
You use the Server tab of the Passwords dialog to change the password with which you log in to the Enterprise server. Your server username and password are initially set up by your System Administrator.
If the username and password with which you log in to a project is the same as the one with which you log in to the server, you only have to enter a username and password once when you enter the project; if they are different, you have to enter both usernames and passwords.

To access the Passwords dialog, click the File tab, click Properties, then click Passwords. To change a specific user's password, right-click the user in Library Explorer and select Change Password, or click Change Password on the User Properties dialog.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Current password | Delete the asterisks in this field and type the password you currently use to log in to the server. |
New password for user | Delete the asterisks in this field and type the new password. |
Confirm new password for user | Delete the asterisks in this field and retype the new password. |
How do I...

- Delete the asterisks in the Current password field and type the password you currently use to log in to the server.
- Delete the asterisks in the New password field and type the new password.
- Delete the asterisks in the Confirm new password field and type the new password again.
If you have made a mistake when entering the new password, you cannot OK your changes. When you next access the server, you must enter the new password to access a project.
If you change your server password and forget it subsequently, contact your System Administrator, who will be able to reset it.
