Link Properties dialog - Link Finish tab
You use the Link Finish tab of the Link Properties dialog to view details of the finish of the link and to edit the amount of lead/lag at the finish of the link. Lead/lag at the finish of a link is calculated according to the successor task's calendar. You can also access the Link From/To dialog from this dialog, which you can use to edit the link so that it ends at a different task.
How to access the Link Properties dialog
To access the Link Properties dialog, right-click a link in the bar chart and select Properties.
Explanation of the fields and buttons on the dialog
| Field/Button | Description |

| Name | The name of the task at the finish of the link. The bar name is displayed if the task has no name, and if the bar and task names differ, both names appear. |
| Chart name | The chart or summary group in which the task at the finish of the link is located. |
| Path name | The path to the task at the finish of the link through the project hierarchy. |
| Project | The name of the project in which the task at the finish of the link is located. |
| WBS code | The WBS code of the task at the finish of the link, including the full hierarchical path. |
| Task ID (WBN) path name | The path from the programme chart down the project hierarchy to the task at the finish of the link, giving the task ID (WBN) code of each parent task in turn. |
| Unique task ID | The unique task ID of the task at the finish of the link. |
| Change | Click this button to change the task at which the link finishes. |
| Properties | Click this button to view and edit the properties of the task at which the link finishes. |
| Finish date | The finish date and time of the link. |
| Lag type | Specify whether lead and lag time is calculated as a duration or as a percentage at the finish of the link. When calculated as a duration, lead/lag is not recalculated if the duration of the task at the finish of the link changes. |
| Lead/lag | The lead/lag time at the end of the link. Positive lead/lag is counted forward from the start or finish of the finish task; negative lead/lag is counted backward from the start or finish of the finish task. |
How do I...
... edit the amount of lead/lag at the finish of the link?
- Specify whether you want to enter the lead/lag as an amount of time or as a percentage of the link duration in the Lag type field.
- Enter the amount of lead/lag in the Lead/lag field.
... change the task at which the link finishes?
- Click Change. The Link From/To dialog appears.
- Use this dialog to select a different task.
