Format Bar Chart dialog - Links tab
You use the Links tab of the Format Bar Chart dialog to specify the types of link that are displayed on the bar chart and the way in which they appear.

To access the Format Bar Chart dialog, on the Format tab, in the Format group, click Format Bar Chart.

Field | Description |

Non-critical local links | Select this check box to display non-critical links that start and finish within the current view, or clear the check box to hide such links. |
Critical local links | Select this check box to display critical links that start and finish within the current view, or clear the check box to hide such links. |
Reflected links |
Select this check box to display links indicating the existence of a link between tasks in different

Non-critical half links | Select this check box to display non-critical links that do not both start and finish within the current view (half links), or clear the check box to hide such links. |
Critical half links | Select this check box to display critical links that do not both start and finish within the current view (half links), or clear the check box to hide such links. |
Link categories to display | Select the link categories that you want to display. Clear a check box if you do not want to display links in that category. |
Hide non-driving links |
Select this check box to display only driving links (links that enter a task with the steepest slope, in which the link finish date sets the start date of the task), or clear the check box to display driving and non-driving links on the bar chart.

Distinguish non-driving links |
Select this check box to display non-driving links using a different appearance to driving links (driving links are the links that enter a task that have the steepest slope), or clear the check box to display driving and non-driving links using the same appearance.

If critical, use critical display rather than category | Select this check box to display links using the appearance defined for critical items rather than using their link category appearance, or clear the check box to display them using their link category appearance regardless of their criticality. |

Select the types of link you want to display in the Show group and select the link categories you want to display in the Link categories to display field.

Select the Hide Non-driving links check box to display only driving links (links that enter a task with the steepest slope, in which the link finish date sets the start date of the task), or clear the check box to display driving and non-driving links on the bar chart.
Select the Distinguish Non-driving check box to display non-driving links using a different appearance to driving links, or clear the check box to display driving and non-driving links using the same appearance.

Select the If critical... check box to display links using the appearance defined for critical items rather than using their link category appearance, or clear the check box to display them using their link category appearance regardless of their criticality.
