Filter Wizard - WBS Code page
You use the Filter Wizard to create and edit the criteria of filters, which items must meet in order to be included in a filter. This page of the Filter Wizard appears if you have chosen to filter on the work breakdown structure code (WBS code) of tasks. You use this page to specify the WBS codes whose tasks you want to include in the filtered view.
To access the Filter Wizard, click Insert or Edit within the Filter Properties dialog.

| Codes and all children | Click this radio button to also include those tasks that have been assigned subordinate, or 'child' codes of the selected WBS codes in the filtered view. |
| Ask me which WBS codes to use each time the filter is applied | Select this check box if you want to be able to specify the WBS parameters each time you apply the filter, or clear the check box to use the parameters specified in this wizard each time. |
How do I...
- Select the WBS codes whose tasks you want to include in the filtered view in the grid that displays the project's work breakdown structure.
If the project's work breakdown structure is very large, it may be difficult to locate the WBS code that you want immediately. If you know the alphanumeric identifier of the WBS code - or at least the start of it - you can locate it in the work breakdown structure by entering the WBS code - or the start of the WBS code - in the Search field at the top of the dialog. - Click the Selected codes only radio button if you want to include only those tasks that have been assigned the selected WBS codes in the filtered view, or click the Codes and all children radio button to also include those tasks that have been assigned subordinate, or 'child' codes of the selected WBS codes.
- If you want to be able to specify the WBS codes to include each time you apply the filter, select the Ask me which WBS codes to use... check box.
