Filter Wizard - User Fields page
You use the Filter Wizard to create and edit the criteria of filters, which items must meet in order to be included in a filter. This page of the Filter Wizard appears if you have chosen to filter tasks by the information that is contained within the user-defined fields that are associated with them.
To access the Filter Wizard, click Insert or Edit within the Filter Properties dialog.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Table name | Select the type of user-defined field you want to filter for, for example Task or Cost Allocation. The user-defined fields of the specified type appear in the field below. |
| Available user fields | Select the user-defined field on which you want to filter. |
| Amount | Enter an amount in order to filter the selected user-defined field according to whether the value it contains is equal to a particular amount. |
| Equality | Specify whether you want to filter for amounts that are greater than, less than, or equal to the specified amount. |
| Date | Specify a date in order to filter the selected user-defined field according to whether the date it contains is equal to a particular date. |
| Search for the following text/duration |
Enter a string or duration that you want to search for in the selected user-defined field. For example, enter Construction if you want to search for string-type user-defined fields with this word in their contents, or enter 2w 3d if you want to search for duration-type user-defined fields with a duration of 2w 3d.

| Match case | Select this check box to make the filter case-sensitive, or clear the check box to search for the string you have entered regardless of case. If you make the filter case-sensitive, searching for user-defined fields with a content of 'ID0001' will not return fields with a content of 'id0001' or 'Id0001'. |
| Use regular expression | Select this check box if you want to search using a regular expression rather than wildcards. |
